GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fund-raising event. This year, I'm walking in the GREAT STRIDES walk at the 2007 Springfield - Pershing Middle School walk on 10/06/2007. Please help me meet my fund-raising goal of $10,000.00 by sponsoring me. Here comes my thoughts! I have been fundraising for the CFF for several years, and I love their online donation team sites. It makes fundraising really easy, and reaches a lot more people.

I have made some fansites for the tv series Lexx and met a lot of neat Lexx fans in the process, and it hit me-- why not make a CF fundraising team for Lexx fans??? Many of us have family members or know someone with CF and would love to get involved, but don't have the time or whatever, well... let's make it easy! Join this team and get your very own CF donation site that you can fix up any way you want and link to your Lexx fansites! How cool is that???

I chose a walk team in my state that is scheduled for this fall, so that means we have until October to get a few bucks in for those CF kids and research hospitals. Whatever you are able to collect into your donation accounts will automatically be 'harvested' on that walk date. You don't have to do a thing except post links to your donation sites everywhere you go. Maybe a friend or family member or another Johnny fan will have $5 or $10 for this really good cause, and every every EVERY dollar counts.

If you live outside the U.S. or Canada, you may need to use an American address to register your site, and donations will need to be made through international money orders made out to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and I can tell you where and how to send those so your donation site gets the credit.

I don't know about you all, but I think this is a really fun way to do something really cool, and a good way to get people involved. You can get your sports team or school involved, or your church, or your club, or your pals at work or the coffee shop. And this will look especially cool linked to your fansites and blogs.
