Again this year, I have decided to participate in GREAT STRIDES, the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation's fund-raising event. I am doing everything in my power to fight CF not only for my son, Samuel, but for every person whose life is touched by this terrible disease.

As many of you know, Samuel was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was just 2 weeks old, thanks to newborn screening in our state. Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects children and young adults. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now - more than ever - to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. Too many young lives depend on this vital research to let it go unfunded!

This year, I'm walking in the GREAT STRIDES event at the 2009 Phoenix/Tempe - Kiwanis Park site on 04/25/2009. Please help me meet my personal fund-raising goal of $1,500 by sponsoring me.
