As many of you know, our son, Reno was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis almost seven years ago. While he is an active child and is the goalie for his ice hockey team, he must work diligently to maintain this level of health. Fighting off the affects of this disease requires a daily routine that includes two hours of lung therapy; consisting of three nebulizers and manual or pneumatic chest percussion. To ensure his resistance to colds and infections and mitigate the malabsorption associated with the disease he takes almost 1000 pills a month.
This year, we continue to raise donations for his GREAT STRIDES walk at the 2009 Schaumburg - Busse Woods Grove #P5 walk on 05/16/2009. GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fund-raising event.
Please help us meet our $45,000 fund-raising goal by sponsoring Rocketing to the Cure. It is a difficult time to ask for financial support, but the scope of current financial downturns makes your contribution that much more valuable. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education.
Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the "Click to Donate" button on this page to go to make a donation that will be credited to team Rocketing to the Cure. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!
Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and GREAT STRIDES!
