**McAlister's Deli at Concord Mills is hosting a CF fundraiser Monday, April 27th from 5-9PM. 10% of ALL proceeds during this time will go to Concord Great Strides! Come get some food and help our cause!**
On November 25, 2008, Garrett Thomas, a childhood friend, lost his life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). He was twenty-six. Like all CF patients born in the 1980s, doctors told Garrett’s parents he would not reach his teenage years. However, the past two decades have brought many scientific breakthroughs that have stretched life expectancy for a person with CF to nearly 37 years. Even still, Garrett’s premature passing shows that CF research has not come far enough. Garrett left behind a beautiful wife Sarah, two loving parents and a wonderful sister Katy.
To honor the memory of Garrett all his family did, this team was established to raise awareness and the much needed funds to support the critical research needed to quickly find a cure for CF and the 30,000 Americans who suffer from it.
Doctors working to find a cure believe they are getting close. However, research is expensive and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation receives no federal funding. All financial support is through the generous giving of friends and families of CF. Your giving can help expedite this tedious process.

GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fund-raising event. This year, I'm walking in the GREAT STRIDES walk at Frank Liske Park on May 2, 2009. Please help me meet our team's fund-raising goal of $2,000 by sponsoring me. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is investmed in vital CF programs to support research, care and education.
Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the "Click to Donate" button on this page to go to make a donation that will be credited to my team. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to prematurely lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.
Together, we can give HOPE to those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and our team! Please register to walk along side of me and hundreds of others on May 2nd!
