Welcome the the 2010 Cruisin' the Bayou Team Fundraising Home Page. This year's event benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and correlates with their annual Great Strides Thibodaux walk, also scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2pm.

Both events help raise valuable funding for CF research and care programs. CFF dedicates 90% of all donations to CF research and care programs. Right now, they are funding over 30 different CF drugs and therapies with the goal of not only improving the quality of life for CF patients but also finding a cure. So far two drugs, VX- 770 and VX- 809, have been shown to cure CF in 90% of CF patients. Just in the last 6 months these medications have moved from phase 1 and 2 clinical trials to phase 2 and 3. Researchers are predicting these drugs could be available as soon as 2012! This amazing progress couldn’t happen without support from individuals like you.

If you are a 'Crusin' The Bayou' Rider who would like to setup their own personal fundraising page please click on the button that says "Join My Team." You will then be able to setup your very own Great Strides Fundraising Homepage and send out emails to friends and family. Since we have made special arrangements with the CF Foundation, signing up on this Great Strides walk team DOES NOT sign you up to walk. It just gives you the opportunity to use the Great Strides web interface to manage donations and send emails.
