Seraphina has been dancing for over 20 years, beginning her training in ballet at the age of 6. After a dance related injury she turned her attention full time on the art of Middle Eastern dance, primarily Classical Indian Fusion. She has now been bellydancing for 13 years and teaching for over 8. Seraphina travels the US performing her own unique style of tribal fusion, Otaku Fusion Bellydance, a mix of traditional Japanese dance and bellydance. She is also the director/choreographer of her troupe, Gypsy Blues Bellydance. Seraphina teaches in hopes of helping others gain self-esteem and confidence.
I am joining the Shimmy-a-Thon fundraiser in memory of a close friend, Justin Johnstone. He was a very talented photographer and constant stream of support. To view some of his work, please visit phoenixtear.com. Justin never let anyone know he was fighting a battle but on January 23, 2008 he lost the fight to CF. Please donate and help others, like Justin, continue to reach for their dreams. Any donation you can offer is greatly appreciated!
