GREAT STRIDES is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fund-raising event. This year, I'm leading CARA'S CORPS at the 2010 Houston - University of Houston Central Campus - Lynn Eusan Park Great Strides walk on 05/22/10. Please help me meet my fund-raising goal of $7,500.00 by sponsoring me. Your generous gift will be used to support research to make CF stand for CURE FOUND!
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and adults in the United States, including myself. I was diagnosed with CF on my first birthday and at the time I was not expected to live to see kindergarten. However, due to medical advancements made possible through donations, I am now a HEALTHY 28 year old! Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those of us with CF, but there is still not a cure for this horrible disease and we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. The current average life expectancy for someone living with CF is 37 years. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. I take comfort in knowing that I will live a long life, thanks to people like you.
THANK YOU to all of you who supported Cara's Corps in 2009! With your help, we had over 65 people walk on our team and we were able to raise $10,415 for Cystic Fibrosis research!
