Dear friends and families,

Each year when Great Strides rolls around and we begin our fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation we try to come up with a letter to grab everyone’s attention. This is actually a pretty tough task. We want to convey how devastating CF can be but still rejoice in the fact that Jacob is doing so well. We want to share that although Jacob’s health continues to be good that CF has really taken its toll on him emotionally this year. And although we are so incredibly fortunate that Jacob is doing well, lives are lost everyday to CF. We think Sophie put it best when she wrote in paper for school about her greatest wish. Her wish is that her brother wouldn’t have CF anymore. Her wish is that Jacob wouldn’t have to breathing treatments multiple times a day even when he is doing well. Her wish is that he wouldn’t have to take handfuls of pills every day.

We are asking for your support once again. Please join us on April 18th at our Great Strides walk in Valencia, CA. If you are not able to walk with us then we ask you to consider making a donation to Team Jacob. You can donate online at our Great Strides homepage or by sending a check to our home address. Please make checks payable to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I know this year has been tough on a lot of people but CF doesn’t take breaks even when economic times are tough. Please remember that no donation is too small. If you are not able to donate at this time we understand and ask that you send prayers and good thoughts to our family on this day as we walk for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
