Hi Everyone!

It's that time of year again to be thinking about how you can help more than 30,000 people in the US survive tomorrow from Cystic Fibrosis. This year I'm working to raise $500.00.

Myself and fellow co-workers will be, once again, participating in the Great Strides Walk in Huntington, Indiana on May 16th at the Historic Forks of the Wabash! We are so excited - I've been involved in the planning of our walk this year and I can't wait to see how our small communities will be able to make such a big change for CF patients around the world.

Pictured on this page is one of the reasons why we do this. Meet Sydney, Sydney was diagnosed in June 2004 with CF and is living her life to the best that she can. Each day she goes through more than 30 minutes worth of treatments that force her to sit down while a vest vibrates her lungs. You can imagine for a child her age how frustrating this can be.

Sydney is a ball of energy that is completing Kindergarten this year and always makes random stops by our office to visit the "silly guys" (that's what she calls us in the office). Sydney is doing well right now, but I know other parents that are struggling. New parents that were shocked that they carried the CF gene and now their child has to live with it. I know parents with children in their 20's and 30's who worry if the next cold could be their last.

The great work that is happening in finding a cure has led to the life expectancy of a CF patient to be lifted to 37 years old - ten years ago...it was 18. WOW! Also, amazing strides are being made in other areas such as lung disease and diabetes...all because of the funds YOU are donating.

So how can you help? There are a couple ways...the first is by giving of your time...join our team or create your own! OR you can choose to give financially supporting those of us who are walking. Either opportunity is AWESOME.
