GREAT STRIDES: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fundraising event. Tens of thousands of co-workers, friends and family come together each year as one community for one cause…to help find a cure for CF. Hero Story - Alison's Angels
Over the past 10 years, the Auburn, Wash., community has become part of the tight-knit Alison’s Angels family. Team leaders Deanne and Rich Plunkett, and Donna and Dave White, are amazed that people—from neighbors to local businesses—are so enthusiastic about the team’s GREAT STRIDES effort. “Alison’s Angels has taken on a life of its own. It continues to grow every day,” Deanne remarks. The reason for its success? Each year, they look for new ways to expand the team’s reach in the community.
