Clinical Trials & Studies

The process of drug development begins in the laboratory, with years of experiments that test new approaches to treatment, first in the test tube, then in living systems or models. These stages are known as “preclinical” research. If successful, Food and Drug Administration approval is sought to begin clinical trials which involve patients.
