Last month, we brought you the first in a series of real conversations about living with CF, “ Expectations vs. Reality - What We Were Told.”

Today, we bring you part two, “Our Lives Today,” where Somer Love, Emily Schaller and Piper Beatty-Welsh chat about living for each day, breaking down barriers and reinventing their future. Watch their conversation below.

Editor's Note: During the conversation, Emily mentions being taken off of Medicare for being considered “too healthy.” A person becomes eligible for Medicare only after 29 months of receiving Social Security Disability Insurance benefits (SSDI). However, even if a person no longer meets the criteria for disability and becomes ineligible for SSDI benefits, he or she may be able to keep Medicare benefits in some cases. If you have questions about Social Security benefits or Medicare coverage, contact the CF Legal Information Hotline.
