The CF Foundation has been proud to offer financial assistance to people with CF since 2008 through the Cystic Fibrosis Patient Assistance Foundation (CFPAF).
As a result of new government regulations, however, we will be closing the CFPAF by the end of the year. To ensure that the needs of people with CF continue to be met, the CF Foundation will work one-on-one with each person enrolled in the CFPAF to help transition them to the HealthWell Foundation®, a highly qualified, nonprofit financial support organization. The CF Foundation is committed to helping ensure there is no disruption in financial support.
After carefully vetting all national co-pay assistance organizations, the CF Foundation identified HealthWell® and is pleased that the organization will offer services for people with CF that exceed the support provided through the CFPAF.
This includes
The CF Foundation will contribute up to $3 million annually to patient assistance funds that provide financial support to people with cystic fibrosis.
Although the CFPAF is closing, the CF Foundation continues to serve as a hub for personalized support for people with CF to help them navigate the daily challenges of living with cystic fibrosis, including affording and accessing the treatments they need to live healthier, longer lives.
Dedicated CF Foundation case managers will continue to connect people with CF with the right resources to help them work through financial and insurance issues and to provide them with legal information. Our case managers are experts on the full range of available resources and programs and how to access them.
