Pushing the Frontiers
We are pleased to announce the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research Conference: Pushing the Frontiers. This conference is directed toward basic scientists, clinical researchers, pharmaceutical company representatives, and trainees in CF research.
The goal is to bridge the latest advances in basic research with therapeutic discovery and development of new treatments to improve the lives of people with CF worldwide. The conference will focus on a broad array of topics including:
- The current landscape of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulators and approaches for functional restoration of rare CFTR mutations
- CF complications, including infection and inflammation
- Development of novel therapeutic approaches, such as gene editing and nucleic acid delivery, to correct the basic defect in all individuals with CF
To foster a highly interactive environment throughout the conference, attendance will be limited to approximately 200 participants. We anticipate that interest in this conference will exceed the size of the venue; therefore, applicants will be selected based on their past research achievements and potential for future contributions in areas related to the meeting's focus. All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract for the meeting to be considered for a slot.
