Drug Development Pipeline
This program is studying ETD002. ETD002 is a compound designed to increase the activity of TMEM16A, a chloride channel found on the surfaces of airway cells. Similar to the CFTR channel, the TMEM16A channel helps regulate the amount of salt and fluids on the airway surface. Increasing the activity of TMEM16A may help increase the amount of fluid within the airways to improve mucus clearance.
Laboratory studies to develop and test this compound are underway.
This program is sponsored by Enterprise Therapeutics and partially funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
