I'm Pam Baker — an author, speaker, longtime Cystic Fibrosis Foundation volunteer, and the mom of two adult children with cystic fibrosis. For more than two decades, I've been passionate about sharing stories that inspire hope, build community, and remind families they're never alone on this journey.

That is why I started Breathtaking Stories, a video podcast for the CF community. For our first episode, I couldn't think of a better guest than my friend Emma Smith. We connected through our shared commitment to the CF Foundation, and Emma's family has a cystic fibrosis story unlike any I've ever heard.

As two moms navigating different seasons of the CF journey, we sat down to talk about the unexpected twists of a diagnosis, the hope that comes from community, and powerful ways families can take back a little control from this disease. I hope our conversation leaves you feeling encouraged, inspired, and reminded that every story has the power to move us one step closer to a cure.
