The purpose of the Cystic Fibrosis Statistical Expertise and Network (CF StatNet) Award is to integrate local statisticians into CF research teams at nearby Therapeutics Development Network sites. The award will fund collaborative research done by these statisticians and CF clinical investigators. This research activity may include:
- Analyses of existing data
- Help in preparing grant applications
- Improving the design and conduct of prospective clinical studies
- Data analysis and publication of new results
This award provides up to three years of salary support at a maximum of 35 percent effort.
Applicants must hold a faculty appointment at an academic institution in the United States that is affiliated with an accredited CF Therapeutics Development Center. Applicants (but not necessarily the statistician candidate) must also be engaged in CF clinical research. The identified statistician candidate should have a master's degree or higher in statistics or a closely related field.
