CFTR Antibodies

The CFTR Antibody Distribution Program is supported and administered by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and capitalizes on the antibody expertise at Dr. Martina Gentzsch's laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill).

The antibodies available through the program are not commercially available.

Overview of the Ordering Process

  1. The first step in the process is to have a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) in place; the MTA is a contract between the supplying institution and the requesting institution guaranteeing responsible use of the supplied antibodies. The requestor's institution must sign the MTA and send it to UNC-Chapel Hill's contact, Tim Jensen, at tjensen@med.unc.edu. UNC-Chapel Hill will return a copy of the MTA to the requestor after it has been approved and executed.
  2. The requestor will fill out and forward the CFTR Antibody Distribution Program Order Form, including the shipping information, shipping account number, and an associated purchase order number or wire transfer, to cover the $60 handling fee for each antibody ordered.
  3. The antibodies will be sent to the requestor directly from UNC-Chapel Hill and the requesting institution will fulfill payment.

Please contact Tim Jensen at tjensen@med.unc.edu with any questions, requests, or orders.
