Yasoo Health to Develop First-of-Its Kind Multi-Vitamin for CF

Of all the vitamins currently on the market, none are geared to deal with the fat malabsorption problems faced by cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. That might change thanks to some novel research by Yasoo Health scientists.

On Feb. 7, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics (CFFT) awarded Yasoo Health, Inc. $936,375 to further develop its pilot multivitamin, which is formulated to deliver antioxidants and other essential nutrients to CF patients.

Earlier CFFT-supported studies, which used a liquid vitamin prototype, reported an increase in the blood level of antioxidants and other key nutrients in CF patients. These encouraging data prompted CFFT to offer Yasoo a larger, milestone-driven award, to fund the development of a proprietary multivitamin and antioxidant formulation.
