(Bethesda, Md.) -- The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been awarded “best video” in the DoGooder YouTube Nonprofit Video Awards for the Large Nonprofit Category. The annual contest is designed to recognize the creative and effective use of video to promote the work of the nonprofit sector in catalyzing social good.
The Foundation's video, “Adding Tomorrows,” is a portrait of three individuals who live with cystic fibrosis.

“We are honored to have been awarded best video, and excited about the opportunity to share our powerful story of hope with the more than 26 million people who visit YouTube every day,” said Amy DeMaria, Sr. Vice President of Communications for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “The Foundation is achieving real progress in research for a cure, but the lives of young people with CF are still cut far too short. We urgently need the public's support to continue our lifesaving progress.”
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's video was selected as a finalist from more than 1,000 nonprofit entries, and was the winner in its category, as voted on by the public. Other Nonprofit Video Awards finalists include The Humane Society of the United States, UNICEF, and SPCA of Texas.
The video can be seen on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's YouTube channel, and will appear on YouTube's homepage on April 5.
