The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recognizes the growing demand to recruit and retain advanced practice providers (APPs) trained to address the complex needs of a growing and aging cystic fibrosis population. APPs are highly effective practitioners who fulfill an array of roles in CF centers including the provision of clinical care, leadership in quality improvement, research, and newborn screening.
Committed to maintaining a strong CF provider workforce, the Foundation will recruit a cohort of APPs to the new Leadership and Education Advanced Practice Provider (LEAPP) CF Fellowship program to expand the number of CF providers in outpatient pediatric and adult care programs. Proposed work must be hypothesis-driven and must reflect innovative approaches to critical questions in CF research.
Awards will be approved for a two-year period. Funding of up to $74,110 in Year 1 and up to $77,200 in Year 2 may be requested, plus up to an additional 12% of indirect costs may be requested per year.
